This course explores web development, that is client-server computing on the World Wide Web. The course focuses on the architecture of web-based server applications as well as currently accepted best industry practices.
The course is centered around the building and polishing of a large, semester-long project, for which you will build a functioning website. Course visitors will provide feedback on your projects and often, bring the problem the project solves to the class. Expected visitors include developers from IBM and Google.
By the time you complete the course, you will encounter technologies such as HTTP, HTML, HTML5, CSS, DOM, Javascript, PHP and MySQL.
