Announcement: hosting your page for Adobe testing

Folks,

One of our students very correctly pointed out that you cannot test your pages easily on Adobe BrowserLab without a URL!

I have three suggestions, if you don't already have some server space available to you:
  • Get some space through EOS here. Free for students. You may want to remove your html from the public directory after you test it.
  • Use your Google Drive space already available to you through the university. Again you will have to make the file you upload public. You can get the url (which is rather ugly) by choosing manage revisions, then right clicking (perhaps with shift).
  • Use Mozilla's Thimble. This is an html editor with preview. You can publish your code and get a url there.
Best,

Ben

  1. If anyone happens to use Dreamweaver for this assignment (I have CS5.5) BrowserLab is built in. You just have to make sure you upload the thumbnail to BrowserLab and then you can view it in the web browser.
